Big Ed's Hog Skinner
I've known Ed since we were kids and there's nothing small or half done about him. When he
said he had designed a hog skinning knife I figured I was in trouble. If ever I have built
a knife that just didn't want to do anything the easy way, this is it.
The 440C blade is chisel ground and sharp almost all the way around the curve. The gut hook
is sharp on the inside curve and the back of the blade is also chisel ground
close to the handle and intended to act as an axe. The guard and butt cap are made of aluminum
and the handle is Sambar stag. If Ed gets a sheath for this beast he's going to have to make it himself!
