Sheath Companion - Style 14661
While most of my Companion series knives have pocket clips they are
also available in a larger size with a belt sheath. The OAL of
this knife is 9", the blade is 3 7/8" tip to bolster.
The Companion - Style 14661
This is a custom Companion. The cutting edge on this blade is 4" long which makes the OAL about 10.75" when open, a really big knife! The blade thickness and the frame thickness were both beefed up to make this an even more heavy duty knife than a regular Companion. The whole knife is sandblasted and the scales are Tan G-10 ....
Companion - Style 11361
This is an Integral Companion with a 1/8th inch thick BG-42 blade that I heat treated and cryogenically quenched myself. The blade is ground very thin and Rockwell's at 61.
The blade and the bolsters are sand blasted to a light grey finish. The handle is G-10 fiberglass in a light tan color. The other side of the handle is has a pocket clip for easy carry.
Companion - Style 14361
This is another Integral Companion, this time a left handed model, with a 1/8th inch thick BG-42 blade that I heat treated and cryogenically quenched myself. This blade is hollow ground, very thin, and Rockwell's at 61. The owner ordered this knife left handed even though he is right handed so that he could draw a knife with his weak hand if his strong side was occupied. Pretty good idea, I thought.
The blade and the bolsters are bead blasted to a soft pearl finish. The handle is blue G-10 fiberglass. The other side of the handle is has a pocket clip for easy carry.
Companion - Style 11662
Here is a Companion with a custom BG-42 blade that measures .140 in thickness which is a little beefier than the usual 1/8th" stock. This blade Rockwelled at 62, the handle scales are G-10 and the lock is a frame lock rather than a liner lock.
