Going Nuts With Skwirls!

Some skwirls like to relax with a jazz clarinet

I'm cute and you know it!

Who are you calling a rat!

Mine! Mine! Mine!

Ah! Firm, excellent bouquet, two peas, excellent choice!

Roll me home, I couldn't eat another bite!

Yo! That's what I'm talking about!

If I was 5 feet taller I'd kick his butt for this!

I'm am not fat! I'm big boned!

Dangerous decisions.....

The ever popular Changing of the Peanut Guard...

Do you smell that?

Ready for a night out at the Skwirl Opera...

Worse than athlete's foot...it's Foot Rats!

This is a tree squirrel - a totally different animal

This tree squirrel climbed my leg to get to my watch pocket where the peanuts are kept

This is Larry, the Vicious Killer Chipmunk

On his way to my peanut pocket...

A roving pack of wild munks gorging on sunflower seeds. You bet I was nervous being this close to this many munks. In a feeding frenzy, the vicious Sabre-Toothed Chip Munk can strip a bear to the bone in 60 seconds! At least, that's what the munks tell me...

Here's a new litter of skwirl pups on their first trip out of the burrow. I was the first thing they saw and they weren't afraid of me at all...

These pups are very small, maybe twice the size of a small mouse...

His first peanut...

Fuzzball...

Adventurous pup...

I had a gallon of milk that was just starting to turn so I offered it to the skwirls. They drank the entire gallon...

This tree squirrel wants the ball of fuzz from the end of this rope for her nest. She wrestles and struggles and pulls and jumps around year after year but she never gets it loose. Finally, I cut it off for her and now she just ignores it. That's how I know it's a female...

Ever hear about how sharks go into a feeding frenzy when there is blood in the water? Well, prepare for real horror! The feeding frenzy of Skwirls high on the scent of a peanut! Click Feeding Frenzy to view a video of nature at its most brutal!

Here's a new video (June 2013) of some young skwirls learning to eat peanuts ...
